For 30 years, Dave Stone preached at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky. During his 13 years as Senior Pastor the weekend attendance grew from 18,000 at one campus to 27,000 at seven campuses. He serves on Boards for Spire, Focus on the Family and the Rawlings Foundation and is on the Teaching Team for CCV in Phoenix, AZ. Dave has a heart for people and a passion for families. He and Beth have three children and ten grandchildren. When Dave speaks he has the unique ability to touch both your heart and your funny bone.

Sean Morgan sits down with Dave Stone to tackle a ministry transition question: “Can God still use me?” Dave reflects back on his transition into the role of Senior Pastor at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky after 40 years of leadership before him, as well as his transition out of that role last year.

Who is Dave Stone?

Dave Stone is the former Senior Pastor of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, with an attendance of over 22,000 people each weekend. A gifted communicator, Dave is passionate about helping parents hone their tools to build strong families. In 1983, Stone graduated from Cincinnati Christian University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Christian ministries. Since 1989, Dave Stone has served in various roles for Southeast Christian Church. In 2006, Dave became Senior Pastor, where he enjoys leading and influencing the diverse families in his congregation. Dave is the author of the Faithful Families series, which offers parents creative ideas, real-life stories, and Scriptural guidance for building families that love God and enjoy being together. Dave and his wife, Beth, have three grown children.
